City – Chengdu

Chengdu is well-known for lovely giant pandas, and delicious Sichuan food like hotpot.
Chengdu is a large but relaxed city, with many natural, cultural, and historical sights in and around it. Chengdu is known for being the home of China’s most famous creatures, the cute giant pandas. Regarded as one of China’s most livable cities, there is something for everyone in this thriving capital of Sichuan province.
Although most of the people visit it to see the cutest animals on this planet – the pandas, Chengdu has much more to offer. From its incredible architecture to its delicious Sichuan cuisine, Chengdu should definitely be on your travel list when visiting China.
And how could it not be? A total of 44 cities in China have populations of more than a million people, and each is home to unique regional cuisine and customs. Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong lead the way both culturally and economically, and share many of the country’s top attractions: Shanghai’s historic Bund district, Beijing’s Forbidden City, and Hong Kong’s unrivaled skyline (made up of some 7,650 skyscrapers) to name only a few.
Outside the cities, a centuries-old agrarian lifestyle continues to thrive, providing a true reward for the intrepid traveler.
The best periods to visit Chengdu are from March to June and from September to November. March to June is a pleasant time to visit with refreshing spring colors around you
2 days is not long enough to see all attractions of Chengdu, but long enough to get the very essence part of the city. It usually needs a half day to visit the Giant Pandas in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. If you want to experience the panda keeper program, you need a full day for that.
Also, Things Not to Miss in China
Slightly smaller than the United States in square miles and home to four times as many people, China is impossible to see in its entirety in one visit. A list of must-see sights, however, might start with these iconic monuments and natural wonders:
• The Great Wall of China
• The Forbidden City
• The Terracotta Soldiers in Xi’an
• Shanghai
• Chengdu’s pandas
